I need help with understanding Macbeth?
Can you explain the influence of Psychic phenomenon in today's world vs. the supernatural in Macbeth?

A link with some interesting information on 'supernatural horror in literature', with reference to Macbeth and the witches at one stage.
That is a very difficult question that you have there, and Im not sure I would be the best person to answer that for you.
But perhaps think of how the supernatural were portrayed in Macbeth in the form of the witches. Then compare this to what you see as the most widely believed form oh phsychic phenomenon in todays society.
The witches predicted the future, they were believed by those who met them but they were never taken seriously or of any level of importance in the society of the play. (although perhaps they controlled it without such power) Does this provide any similarities to how physchic stuff is looked apon by many today- are they held in the same sense of respect in society?
